As Egan said it&#039;s all about &#039;Quality&#039;

Quality being defined as that which,maximizes the &#039;value added to society&#039; from the creation, use and deconstruction of the built environment, whilst working to continually reduce the &#039;loss to society&#039; that results.

four points arise from this

1. only society can decide what it thinks &#039;adds value&#039;, not business alone

2. losses can be economic, environmental or social

3. reducing losses reduces risk and moves a process in the direction of sustainability

4. Quality and sustainability are the two sides of the same coin, toss it and you can only win</description>
